“But you are a chosen people, a royal priesthood, a holy nation,
God’s special possession, that you may declare the praises of him
who called you out of darkness into his wonderful light.” ( 1 Peter 2:9 )
But do not forget this one thing, dear friends:
With the Lord a day is like a thousand years,
and a thousand years are like a day.
The Lord is not slow in keeping his promise,
as some understand slowness. He is patient with you,
not wanting anyone to perish,
but everyone to come to repentance.
“Come, let us bow down in worship,
let us kneel before the LORD our Maker;
for he is our God and we are the people of his pasture,
the flock under his care. Today, if you hear his voice,”

By living according to your word.
I seek you with all my heart;
do not let me stray from your commands.
I have hidden your word in my heart
that I might not sin against you.

forth the earth and the world,
from everlasting to everlasting you are God.

You will seek me and find me when you seek me with all your heart.
I will be found by you," declares the LORD, "
and will bring you back from captivity.
I will gather you from all the nations and places where I have banished you,"declares the LORD,
"and will bring you back to the place from which I carried you into exile."
“For I know the thoughts that I think toward you, saith the LORD,
thoughts of peace, and not of evil, to give you an expected end.
Then shall ye call upon me, and ye shall go and pray unto me,
and I will hearken unto you.”
Seek the LORD while he may be found;
call on him while he is near.
Let the wicked forsake his way
and the evil man his thoughts.
Let him turn to the LORD, and he will have mercy on him,
and to our God, for he will freely pardon.

It does not fear when heat comes; its leaves are always green. It has no worries in a year of drought and never fails to bear fruit.” ( Jeremiah 17:7-8 )

Love is patient, love is kind. It does not envy,
it does not boast, it is not proud.
It is not rude, it is not self-seeking,
it is not easily angered,
it keeps no record of wrongs.
